Player Code of Conduct

As a Moss Park House League player, you have a responsibility to:

1. Play for fun, not just to please your parents or coach.

2. Play by the rules.

3. Never argue with the officials: Let your coach ask the questions.

4. Control your temper. Don’t mouth off, slam sticks or throw equipment.

5. Work equally hard for yourself and your team – Everyone will benefit.

6. Cheer all good plays, whether by your team or your opponent.

7. Treat others as you wish to be treated.

8. Play for fun and to improve your skills. Don’t be a show-off by always trying for the most points or penalties.

9. Congratulate your coach, your team and your opponents. Without them, you don’t have a game.

10. Notify your coach at least the day before a game if you will be absent.

Players' Role:

*To develop positive character traits and values.

*Be positive and supportive.

*Be considerate and positive in comments. This means NO swearing anywhere!

*Not to argue with referees’ calls. If concerned, speak to your coach in the dressing room.

*Be in the dressing room and ready 20 minutes before game start.

*If watching the end of the game prior to yours, go back to the changeroom at final buzzer.

*Put forth your best effort.

*Act as a positive role model on and off the ice, there are younger players watching you.

I agree that I am responsible for the conduct of myself, the player. The Moss Park House League will not tolerate any abuse of its players, volunteers or officials. Failure to comply with this will result in your removal from the programme.

I have talked to my grown up about this and I understand and agree to all the points in the above.
